We were really hoping with the remodel that the service would improve too. Not the case. The service is so slow and the wait staff seem more interested in talking to one another then waiting on tables. If you have young children and aren't in a hurry the place is fine. Otherwise go somewhere else.

Wow. Not at all happy. What little staff they had for lunch (yup little staff at a busy time) were slow. They don't know how to prioritize their tables. The place was way too cold, had a stale smell, and the rug looks like the last time it was clean was the day they put in the restaurant. I will skip this place next time and recommend you drive on to get to a better place

I went there with my Mom for dinner. When we walked in about 60% of the tables had no people sitting and dirty tables filled with dishes from the last customers. We sat anyway because we were starving but as we waited for a waiter to finally come greet us we realized the families around us looked frustrated from waiting and we thought if the tables around us were not cleaned off it probably doesn't say much for the kitchen. So we left.

The staff is nice and friendly . I only come to friendly for their turkey club melt, which I crave. I would highly suggest it, I cannot comment in anything else. I haven't had their ice cream in a while. The place was clean and the manger does come by your table to check in on you.

  • David K.

If I was allowed to give less than 1 star I would. Slow! Slow! Slow! Even when it's not busy. Stay away!

What a nice place. The staff was attentive and friendly, the food was awesome. I had the Asian Salad and it was wonderful. My waitress was on top of the orders and really did a great job.

I've been here twice in the past two months. I thought maybe the first visit was a fluke, but I was wrong. Understaffed or staffed by really SLOW people. Just seems like the management is just cashing the checks and looking the other way while the ship sinks below the waves.

Service was so so and the food took a while considering the restaurant was not very busy. Waitress was friendly

This place must be shutting down. Hasn't had a good cleaning in a long time. Decor was torn off the shelves as though in the middle of a move. Service was non existent and we had a cute two year old with 4 grandparents, who just wanted ice cream. After 15 minutes we had to send a search party for someone ANYone who had any care at all. After apologies and some service, another search party had to be sent for napkins. None to see. Paper towels from the ladies room had to suffice. SOMEBODy Please put this place out of its misery.

  • Sean B.

My son and I dined here as we were in the area. First let me say that the unsweetened iced tea had a nasty, awful flavor. The waitresses' initial response? This is just what comes out of the machine....really? Anyway switched that to a coke which was fine. Next - they no longer have build your own burgers. Booooo. We ordered our food and it took over 20 minutes for it to come out. My son's order was incorrect. Took them 5 minutes more to fix. The food was fine. A mediocre experience at best.

Service is slow no matter how busy they are. Stopped in for lunch..there were 4 tables...took over half an hour to get our food.

Long wait for an empty restaurant. People got sat I front of us (they showed up after us and were sat first). Food was not fantastic and kind if expensive for what you got but in the end, my daughter liked her Cone Head Sunday.

We had about an hour to kill this morning so we decided to stop in for breakfast. We were so impressed that we can back later in the day for lunch. This place is so many kinds of awesome, I don't even know where to start. For round one, I ordered a ham, egg and cheese melt that now tops my list of breakfast sandwiches anywhere and ever. The home fries on the side were crunchy and perfectly spiced on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. I'm racking my brains trying to remember if I've ever had better home fries, and I don't think I have. The boyfriend's French toast, sausage, and scrambled egg were delicious, but did not approach my sandwich. Even the coffee was brewed to perfection. Having completed our Fort Washington mission, we returned to Friendly's to kill another half hour before our train back home. There was a bit of a wait getting a table, but when we were seated we told our server we were in a rush and she really hopped to. The boyfriend had a chicken quesadilla that came with a side of Spanish rice and various toppings. At this point you probably would not be surprised to find out that it was amazing. I like the idea of clam chowder, so I keep ordering it, even though I never like it. Today, however, my persistence paid off. It was more creamy than goopy with nice chewy clam chunks and firm potato pieces. If I were going to dock a star, it would be for not being closer to where I live.

This place used to be decent, but it's gone downhill. It's okay to stop in just for ice cream, but service is slow and they always mix up orders. Last time I went in, my husband and I had about an hour and a half to kill before an appointment. We sat for about 40 minutes with no service. We told the manager and then walked out. They've always been slow, but the restaurant was pretty much dead and we sat there for 40 minutes while servers (on break?) sat by the kitchen and used foul language in earshot of a child. Unprofessional.

This restaraunt reminded me of the old Friendly's. The service was prompt, my burger was juicily [sic] delicious, the coke was perfectly calibrated, and my oreo brownie sundae was yummmy!

Heather may be the best waitress I have ever met and I am 58 years old! My wife and I like to occaionally eat breakfast here after Church on Sundays and Heather is always extremely friendly and very professional with all her customers. Also their breakfast is excellentl

  • Aaron T.

    Meh, I've experienced better.

  • Kathie M.

Nasty. 1 hour wait for melted ice cream. Nothing but a bowl of strawberries and a white liquid that may have been ice cream at one time.

    (1)
  • Jen L.

If you pop in here for pre-packaged ice cream, fine. But my friend Laura and I had a horrible experience here a few years ago that has made me stay far, far away. First, they mixed our order up after we waited for over 20 minutes. Then Laura found a hair in her sandwich and when they came to take it back, they took both our sandwiches back. We waited for another half hour for our replacement and the food quality was horrible. We did get a free small ice cream for all the trouble, but the experience was enough to keep me away.
